AARON MCNEW
Owner. Coach.
Aaron is the owner of The Factory. He opened The Factory in 2013 and has fostered an encouraging and motivating community for everyone ever since. He wanted to create a space for people to come and improve not only their fitness but themselves in general. Aaron helps people reach their full potential while having fun doing it. Aaron studied Kinesiology Exercise Science at DMACC, UNI, and ISU. With 15 years of military experience, he demonstrates the definition of discipline and leadership every day.

MORGAN JOHNSON
Coach. Social Media Coordinator.
Morgan's fitness journey began in 2015 when she joined a local CrossFit gym, sparking a fire that grew during her collegiate years at UNI, where she started competing in the sport. Since then, she has competed at Wodapalooza twice and in June 2024, qualified for her first Nationals in Oly Weightlifting in the 81kg class - a feat that earned her the nickname "Big Mo". Now a CFL2, USAW L1, and PNL1 certified coach with a decade of experience, Morgan empowers others to build resilience and become stronger, more confident humans. At The Factory, she coaches Saturday mornings, helps manage the gym and internship program, and oversees social media accounts.

BILLY BOULDEN
Coach. Schedule Coordinator.
A professional CrossFit judge...Billy knows and loves all things CrossFit, especially the community. Billy is currently pursuing a PhD at ISU with multiple other degrees from multiple universities. He comes from a sports background, being a dual-sport athlete in college, he has learned to use fitness for his wellness in all areas of health. Billy prioritizes and coaches the balance of nutrition, exercise, rest, and wellbeing. At The Factory, he coaches Monday evenings, coordinates the gym schedule and operations, and collaborates with Morgan on managing the internship program.

CLAYTON JOHNSON
Coach.
From member to intern to coach, Clayton has been a dedicated part of The Factory's journey. With a BA and Master's in Education from ISU, he now serves as the Director of Student Services for ISU's College of Human Sciences while pursuing a PhD part-time. A CFL1 trainer, Clayton loves helping others improve their quality of life through fitness. Outside the gym, he enjoys hiking, biking, community theater, exploring Iowa breweries, and savoring good whiskey. His fitness mantra? Stay consistent and be kind to yourself - progress takes time!

KAYLEE SCHNATHORST
Coach.
A former U of I track and field athlete specializing in the heptathlon and javelin, Kaylee brings a wealth of athletic experience to The Factory. While working as a financial analyst for Chevron Renewable Energy Group, she completed her Master's in Finance at Georgetown University in 2024. Passionate about fitness, Kaylee is eager to share her knowledge from years in athletics with our community. Outside of the gym, she loves spending time with her dog Duncan, hanging out with her nephews, traveling, and cheering on the Hawkeyes. A fan of lifting, Kaylee jokes, "You can find me cleaning, but not in the kitchen!"

DALTON MOORE
Coach.
Dalton is a cornerstone of The Factory, bringing reliability and consistency to every session, from early mornings to afternoons. Currently studying Architecture and Urban Design at ISU, he is known for his unwavering support for the gym and its' members, and thrives on pushing himself and others to excel. Outside of the gym, he enjoys lifting, camping and scuba diving. Always ready to lend a helping hand, his commitment to the team and community makes him an invaluable part of The Factory family.
